PBS hires 40 CSI workers

CLAREMONT - Alton Martin and his family had just finished picking out the color of their cabinets and style of their customized modular home, when Customized Structures Inc. announced the business would be closing. A $2,000 deposit was lost in the surprising business closure, but Martin had yet to put a down payment on the house.

Court filing shows Claremont builder's red ink

MANCHESTER – Customized Structures Inc., the Claremont modular home builder that closed suddenly a few days before Christmas, lost more than $13 million in the four years before its closure, according to financial documents at U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Hampshire.

CSI workers get 2 weeks additional severance pay

The majority of the 122 workers laid off by Customized Structures Inc. late last month were on hand Friday to receive an additional two weeks severance pay, courtesy of financial services giant Merrill Lynch. The creditor, to whom CSI currently owes money, decided to make the donation "strictly out of kindness," according to Gov. John Lynch, and the checks were handed out to workers Friday at Claremont's Employment Security office on Washington Street.

Gov. Lynch Announces the State Has Secured Two Additional Weeks Pay for Laid Off Workers

CONCORD - While owners of Customized Structures Inc. continue to stonewall, Gov. John Lynch announced today that the state has secured two additional weeks pay for the company’s workers. Gov. Lynch, Labor Commissioner George Copadis, Employment Security Commissioner Richard Brothers and Michael Power of the Workforce Opportunity Council will be at the Claremont NH Works Center at 1 p.m. Friday to update the workers. Checks will also be available for the company’s nearly 120 workers at this time.
