The Wausau Paper Worker Assistance Center (WAC) is a full service re-employment center for laid off workers.  The WAC in Groveton is located in two facilities, the first floor of the Wausau Paper Company on 10 Mechanic Street and at the Union Hall on Main Street. Workers may access services at either location.  The WAC is established for the sole purpose of providing direct services to the workers affected by the Wausau Paper closure.  These services include job search assistance, resume and interviewing assistance, career counseling, training assistance, access to support services and an employment resource room equipped with phones, computer work stations, copying and printing machines and many other tools needed to conduct a job search at no cost to the Worker.
